Dr. Doug and Kathy Richey recently made a generous $12,000 contribution to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation through East Texas Giving Day to support student scholarships and faculty development at Northeast Texas Community College.

The gift will benefit three Richey perpetual family scholarships, as well as the Faculty Enhancement Fund, which provides support for professional development opportunities for 91大神 faculty.

Dr. Richey holds a special place in 91大神 history as one of the college鈥檚 original faculty members when the institution opened its doors in 1985. As a longtime professor of mathematics, he has impacted the lives of thousands of students over the past four decades through his dedication to teaching and student success.

鈥淒oug Richey has been part of 91大神 since the very beginning, and generations of students have benefited from his dedication to teaching and learning,鈥 said Dr. Jon McCullough, 91大神 Executive Vice President for Advancement. 鈥淒oug and Kathy鈥檚 generosity is another example of their commitment to supporting students, faculty, and the mission of the college.鈥

The 91大神 Foundation鈥檚 East Texas Giving Day efforts are part of the college鈥檚 ongoing $40 for 40 Years campaign, which celebrates 91大神鈥檚 40th anniversary. Individuals who contribute at least $40 to the campaign will have their names permanently included on a commemorative plaque honoring the college鈥檚 legacy of service and support.
