Northeast Texas Community College finally returned home to the friendly atmosphere of the 91大神 campus for a double header against TCS Post Grad Academy and came away with two wins. 91大神 took game one in extra innings as Brian Juarez hit a walk-off homerun to left-center field to seal the victory 4-3. In game two, the Eagles would get the shut-out with a 7-0 victory.
Scholars of Honors Northeast returned from the joint meeting of the Webb Society and the Texas State Historical Association in Austin last Saturday evening with over $1,000 in prizes, more than any other college or university in the state. For the second year in a row, the 91大神 film project, this year centered on the story of Adina De Zavala and the Alamo, won the $600 Group Caldwell Prize.

Northeast Texas Community College Softball traveled to Cisco Junior College on Monday to take on the Wranglers in non-conference action. Cisco would win the slug fest in game one 17-16 while defeating the Eagles 12-4 in game two.
Northeast Texas Community College Baseball traveled to Lufkin on Saturday to take on Angelina College in games two and three of the opening conference series. Angelina would take down the Eagles 6-1 in game one and 7-6 in game two of the day to earn the series win.

Students from Northeast Texas Community College took part in reading events hosted by Hughes Springs and Daingerfield鈥檚 Head Start programs. As a special project for their Voice for the Theatre class; Haylee Wilson, Star Williams, and Hailey Marshall adapted two Dr. Seuss books, then staged and rehearsed the new 鈥渞eader鈥檚 theatre.鈥
